For some reason I’ve always been fascinated by any headlines that Eddie Lampert get’s because his reputation always seems larger than the success that he’s had. This profile goes in depth on the man that once couldn’t miss, but now has a collapsing Sears that he’s largely responsible for.
Bonus side story on how he was kidnapped for ransom a week before buying K-Mart and the kidnappers claim he told them K-Mart was controlled by the mafia. That’s a nugget they definitely could have spent some more time on.
